Botox

Botox a neurotoxic protein produced by the bacterium clostridium botulinum and related species.

It prevents the release of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine from axon endings at the neuromuscular junction.

Botox injections block certain chemical signals from nerves, mostly signals that cause muscles to contract. The most common use of these injections is to temporarily relax the facial muscles that cause wrinkles in the forehead and around the eyes.

Botox may help reduce the appearance of wrinkles in general the effects of Botox usually last 3-6 months after treatment.

Most people start botox in their early 30s as this is when the first lines appear at rest. This can be a great time to start botox as a preventative.

Botox treatments are known to have minimal risks, with occasional side effects that usually go away within 24 -48 hours.

There is a common misconception that Botox can make you look older as it wears off, regular Botox treatments make you look younger even after the neurotoxin wears off.

Botox is bearable, most patients describe it as little scratches.

How long will my aunt wrinkle last?

Each patient is totally different so results will vary but You can expect that your first anti-wrinkle injection will last anywhere between 3 and 6 months. As the muscles slowly regain their function, the lines and wrinkles will reappear, and repeat treatment will be required to maintain your desired results. Some patients take a few different Botox choices to get to the one that works for them.

Getting anti-wrinkle injections in your 20s

Dermatologists believe that the earlier you start anti-wrinkle injections, the better, since the early signs of ageing—such as forehead wrinkles, crow's feet, and fine lines—begin to show in the 20s, and it's better to treat them at their earliest sign. Again I believe this is your choice and when you’re ready to start that is the most important factor this is based on studies.

Anti-wrinkle injections are an incredibly effective way of preventing the signs of premature ageing rather than repairing damage to the skin after the fact.

Q: What should I avoid doing after treatment?

  1. Rubbing or massaging injected area for at least 4 hours after treatment.

What happens if you stop using Botox?

If you stop Botox treatments after many years of regular injections, the only effect will be that your wrinkles will return, albeit a bit more slowly than if you had not been using Botox. It's true: Even after you stop, you will still look younger than you would have if you had never been injected.
