Lip Filler & Treatments

If this is your first time having lip fillers you may require 2 treatments 2-3 weeks apart a top-up should be completed to build the lip and create a platform this ensures that the lip filler injected initially has settled and you have a building platform to build on at your next appointment in 6-9 months.

Hyaluronic acid HA filler is a natural substance your body produces as we age we lose the plumpness in our skin and lips and our face starts to push downwards with gravity, Hyaluronic Acid works in adding volume to the areas and stimulating collagen to the areas that have lost volume over time. Dermal filler is an injectable treatment that will require downtime. Bruising and swelling is the most common side effects of dermal filler treatments at your consultation before your treatment the risks will be explained to you for patient safety as this is our number one priority.

lip fillers can be injected into both the upper and lower lip small volumes spaced out correctly can offer beautiful and natural results.

Qpid Aesthetics London offers dermal fillers for a fantastic price and also offers huge discounts and savings on packages with us for dermal fillers in London.

Lip flip/smokers lines anti-wrinkle

When most people think of enhancing the lip’s volume, lip fillers are what most people think of. However, for those looking to improve the appearance of their upper lip, a lip flip is a perfect option. Lip flip treatment uses muscle relaxants to encourage a fuller, more even lip line.

We inject the same area / and location to tackle smokers’ lines.

Smoker lines can be treated by using precise administration of anti-wrinkle injections into the fine dynamic facial muscles around the mouth. These anti-wrinkle injections can be used to prevent lines from developing/deepening or to soften existing lines.

Gummy Smile (anti-wrinkle)

A gummy smile can easily and effectively be treated with anti-wrinkle. The best part of this treatment is that it is not invasive and it is a quick procedure.

Anti-wrinkle can be used effectively for the treatment of gummy smiles caused by lip dynamics with rarely reported complications. This can last anything from four to six months, and the re-injection of botulinum toxin is usually needed.

How long does it take to work? The results are not immediate. Upon injecting the anti-wrinkle, you should wait for 2 or 3 days to see an improvement. The elevation of the upper lip will gradually decrease, and the full result will be visible within 14 days post-treatment.

Downturned Mouth (anti-wrinkle)

At the sides of our mouth, there is a muscle called the depressor anguli oris (DAO). This attaches at the edge of the lips and pulls downwards towards the jawline. As we age, this muscle can become overactive. By placing small accurate amounts of anti-wrinkle injections into this muscle on each side, it causes the muscle to relax.

This can also happen in younger patients with overactive Depressor Anguli Oris (DAO) muscles. If you want to address this, a little anti-wrinkle can help suppress this area.

What can prevent me from getting Dermal Fillers?

Pregnant, under the age of 18 those with a history of anaphylaxis, multiple severe allergies, or those with a history of allergy to gram-positive bacterial proteins should not receive dermal fillers.

Are lip fillers safe?

Lip filler injections are a safe and effective way to non-surgically enhance your lips. Because they are made from Hyaluronic acid which is found naturally in the human body. There is a very low chance of an allergic reaction so they do not require allergy testing prior to treatment.

Can lip fillers go wrong?

The answer to this question is yes, lip fillers can go wrong, although serious complications are rare and every bit of care and safety is taken while performing the treatment everything carries some risk. Risks include but are not limited to, swelling, bruising, hematoma, asymmetry, nerve damage, infection and vascular occlusion,  These will all be discussed and shown to you at your consultation so you are comfortable in knowing what is normal and what is not when leaving the clinic. Lumps and bumps will be present and typically subside within 14 days to 6 weeks depending on each individual.

Sometimes asymmetry can happen because of the client’s lip anatomy or sometimes after injecting the swelling can cause asymmetry. This can be looked at if you book a top-up appointment that will be discounted within 3 weeks of your first initial appointment. This is a no-duck lip zone so we would ask to dissolve your lips if they appear to be very badly overfilled and migrated which will be free of charge upon booking your treatment with us. Sometimes migration can happen with excessive filling and touching your lips over time the filler can move and cause a white milk lip above the vermillion border.

What do lip fillers feel like?

You can choose to have Emla cream to numb the area supplied by yourself before the appointment. The filler we use does have a numbing agent inside that will help within the first 5 minutes of filling the lips this should then make the process a lot bare-able for you.  Lip fillers can be painful but we do our best to make you as comfortable as possible while the treatment is taking place. Most clients do not feel much pain after the first few injections.

How much lip filler do I require?

If it is your first time having lip fillers in London I would suggest starting off with .5 ml to 1ml maximum and slowly built them up over time to your desired look.

How long do lip fillers last?

Lip fillers typically last between 4 -12 months depending on each individual. In some cases, they can last a lot longer depending on how fast the body’s metabolism breaks them down.
